‘Louise Rippert – Trace’
Deakin Alumni are invited to the official opening of the exhibition featuring, Louise Rippert. Favouring the use of archival, translucent, brittle and fine materials in her labour intensive and near devotional ‘manuscripts’ of stitching, pattern and perforation, Rippert creates mixed media works of the utmost delicacy.
In 2005 she was the co-winner of The Blake Prize for Religious Art and in 2007 a prize winner in the Linden Centre for Contemporary Arts annual postcard exhibit. This is the first solo exhibition of Rippert’s work in a public institution which will present her past and recent work.
Take this opportunity to chat with fellow Alumni, Deakin staff and members of the Arts community where drinks and canapés will be provided at this free event.

Australia China Council’s 30th anniversary dinner.
The Australia China Alumni Association (ACAA) is proud to host this event in recognition of the Council’s achievements in fostering people-to-people relations between the two nations over the past thirty years.
