Aims and objectives

The overarching aim of the Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation (ICG) is to make a major contribution to our knowledge and understanding of the changing ways in which people collaborate, participate in and identify with society. To understand the forms of collaboration, participation and identity two major concepts are employed. These concepts are citizenship and globalisation.

The ICG is currently the foremost multidisciplinary research clusters studying citizenship and globalisation in Australia and seeks to become one of the most significant internationally. In particular, the ICG aims to:

With a view to realising these aims, the ICG has constructed a list of objectives (with strategies for each) and targets to provide measurement of achievement. The specific objectives, strategies and indicators of achievement are detailed in the Strategic Plan.
