There are special language and learning support programs for Business and Law students. Dedicated staff are available to assist students in need of help with their studies. They are located on the Melbourne, Geelong and Warrnambool campuses
Additional weekly Support Tutorials are run from week 2 to week 13 in certain units of the Bachelor of Commerce. They are especially useful for international students and for students whose first language is not English. Those who attend these tutorials greatly increase their chance of passing these units. Are you struggling to get through your Bachelor of Commerce degree because of weak English? Make sure you enrol in MME101 Communication Skills for University Studies. This unit for credit in the Bachelor of Commerce degree ensures that students learn language skills for academic success.

Students who need help to understand the teaching in a particular unit, who have failed an assignment, or who simply need additional teaching can request help from any of the Business Communications team.
A student mentoring program for new postgraduate students has been established by the Faculty. If you are interested in participating contact Ms Rachael Baron.
If you need individual tutoring in language skills, and can afford to pay for your own tutor, the Faculty can help you find a suitable tutor.
Each year the University offers scholarships to International students wishing to study at the Geelong and Warrnambool campuses. Information about these scholarships is available from the Deakin Scholarships website.
