Please note that there is always more demand than there are places for on-campus student accommodation. This means you should apply for accommodation as early as possible. For on-campus student residences it is a good idea to apply well before you have received an offer of a place in a course.
The deadline for applications is early January each year although mid-year entry is possible. For more information and application forms please visit the Student Residences web site.
Off-campus accommodation
The Deakin University Student Association (DUSA) operates an off-campus housing service that can help you to find private accommodation. Demand is high and you are advised to contact the Student Support Officer well before the academic year commences. The options available include home-stay, share-housing and vacant properties ranging from bungalows to four-bedroom houses. DUSA also operates a number of off-campus rooming houses for financially disadvantaged or homeless students.
Please visit the DUSA web site for further information.
