Course materials

As an off-campus student, you should receive course materials by mail. You will usually receive a course materials package for each unit that you are studying in off-campus mode.

A course materials package may contain:

printed course materials
materials in other media
information from the faculty/school

You will also receive in the mail:

Services guide for off-campus students(new off-campus students only)
Deakin learning toolkit (new off-campus students only)
Guide to assignment writing and referencing (new off-campus students only)

Mailing period

The mailing period for sending course materials packages to students commences progressively, approximately four weeks before the start of each semester.

Do not be concerned if you do not receive all of your materials at the same time - this is a normal part of the process.

There are several reasons why your course materials might not be delivered to you by the commencement of the semester. These include:

inaccurate information on your enrolment record, which necessitates checking and altering details
incorrect or incomplete address details
late changes of enrolment details (in particular, the addition of units)

To ensure you receive your course materials, check your postal and enrolment details in StudentConnect (and update if necessary)
