Graduate jobs

One of the problems graduates encounter is a lack of experience. Make sure you have read:

Many employers actually recruit graduates who are Australian citizens or who have permanent residency. They train them for the particular needs of their organisation and after a year or two in the program the graduates continue their employment with the company.

Graduate recruitment for such positions usually takes place in March and April, with fewer opportunities over the whole year. Interviews and selection are conducted for jobs starting the next year.
So don’t leave it too late to start applying for graduate programs:

start to prepare during the year before your final year
these positions are competitive so try to achieve good academic results throughout your studies or demonstrate consistent effort and improvement
identify the employers and jobs you are interested in
work on an excellent resume and cover letter tailored to these employers and jobs.
