Are you unsure about exactly what it is that lecturers expect from students' assignments? This workshop will help you to:

understand lecturers’ expectations
analyse the question/task
plan, structure and write an essay or a report.

Researching and referencing using the Internet: Author-date (Harvard) system or APA (American Psychological Association)

Using the Internet to research assignments is exciting but challenging. This workshop will help you evaluate the reliability and accuracy of materials online. You will learn how to reference web pages, online articles and electronic databases according to the author-date (Harvard) system OR the APA (American Psychological Association) system

Academic writing and editing

It takes more than one draft to produce a really good assignment. Learn how to:

edit your work for logical organisation, relevance and style
spot mechanical problems of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
