Deakin's approach to Emergency Management

Deakin University acknowledges its responsibility to provide a safe work place to its students, staff and visitors across all its four campuses. As part of the process of meeting this obligation, the University is committed to emergency management planning.

The Emergency Management Framework Operational Policy and the Emergency Management Framework Operational Procedure provides an overview of the overall arrangements to handle most of the tactical aspects in the event of an emergency.

The Emergency Management Plan (85KB) provides a detailed description of Deakin's arrangements for preparing, responding to and recovering from a major physical emergency.

Below are policies and procedures created to protect students and staff, University assets, ensure continuity of critical business services and to protect its image and reputation.
