Deakin University
In the course of its activities, Deakin University collects personal information about its students, staff and members of the public with whom the University interacts. The University’s collection, use, disclosure and management of personal information is regulated by the Victorian Information Privacy Act 2000 and, in the case of health information, by the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic). The University may also have obligations under the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 where it provides services to a Commonwealth agency.
The University has appointed a Privacy Officer to facilitate compliance with its privacy obligations. The Privacy Officer may be contacted at privacy@deakin.edu.au.
