The procedure for registration of University-owned Trade Marks and Business Names can be found in The Guide. Once approved, it is recommended that the matter be referred to the Solicitor's Office to arrange registration and manage renewals.
Registration of a business, company or domain name does not in itself give any proprietary rights - only trade marks, a form of Intellectual Property, can give that kind of protection and are registered by a different process. You should contact the Solicitor's Office if you wish to register a trade mark.
