authorised University business travel..
HOW TO APPLY FOR TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Staff members do not need to make a specific application, however they
must capture their travel details on the Deakin University travel database and print a copy of the AHI Assistance Card. Staff members undertaking a trip in excess of 180 days must contact the Risk and Insurance Office prior to travel to enable appropriate declarations.
Where an overseas trip has been arranged and paid for by an external organisation, the travel must be recorded on the Deakin University travel database and the Risk and Insurance Office advised via email.
In these circumstances the staff member will not be covered under the Deakin Travel Insurance Policy until they receive a travel insurance confirmation email from the Risk and Insurance Office.
