Accessible parking bays are located on each campus. See Deakin University campus maps for locations.
Parking on Campus for People with a DisabilityRegular parking in ‘disabled’ bays requires a current Local Government Category 1 ‘Disabled’ parking permit as well as a Deakin University parking zone permit. Persons with a Local Government Category 1 ‘Disabled’ permit are entitled to a 50% discount on all permit costs. See Parking and Traffic on Campus link below.
Limited short-term parking bays are available for people with a current Local Government Category 1 ‘Disabled’ parking permit; however, typically, campus users will require a University permit to park on-campus. Please allow enough time to organise permits. Present your category 1 permit at the cashier’s office to obtain your discount.
On the Waterfront and Melbourne campuses people with Local Government Category 1 ‘Disabled’ parking permit may be able to obtain undercover reserved parking at a 50% discount of the reserved permit cost. Obtaining a reserved parking bay does not restrict people from using other accessible parking bays provided on campus or other red or blue bays.
For cost of parking and other information see Parking and Traffic on Campus.
Persons with short-term disablement who are not eligible for a Local Government Category 1 ‘Disabled’ parking permit, may be eligible for a Deakin University Temporary disablement parking permit.
