Deakin is committed to providing its students with all the support, advice and encouragement you may need prior to and throughout your studies at Deakin.

As a Study Abroad student, you will have access to a wide range of services, facilities and support designed to make your time at Deakin more rewarding and productive, both academically and personally. These services include:

Free airport reception Deakin University offers you a free arrival service. Our reception officers will meet you at Melbourne Airport and take you either to your campus or accommodation. Deakin can book temporary accommodation for students who have selected to look for housing upon arrival.
Welcome services Arriving in a new country can be a challenging time. Deakin arranges intensive welcome services, to help you to adapt to your time at Deakin and settle in. When you arrive you will be linked with Exchange Student Assistants (ESAs) who are senior Deakin students, and who will introduce you to your local area.
Pre-arranged accommodation We can arrange accommodation for you at any of our on-campus residential colleges or at selected off-campus residences, provided applications are received by the deadline.
International Registration and Enrolment Program As well as the optional Beach and Bush orientation program, Deakin runs a fully comprehensive on-campus Study Abroad Enrolment and Orientation program. This program provides an introduction to life at Deakin as well as the formal enrolment process.
International Student Advisers (ISAs) International Student Advisers are available on each campus and coordinate the support services for international students. ISAs are focused on the needs of international students and are committed to helping you achieve your full potential. They are your first point of contact on many issues, including student and work visas.

In addition, you can enjoy a wide range of services and facilities at Deakin, including academic skills support, career advice, personal counselling, disability support services and more.

The Division of Student Life also provides a wide range of services which all students can access during their time at Deakin.
