| Introduction | |
The Deakin University School of Medicine, Victoria's first rural and regional medical school, was established on 8 June 2006. The School has been accredited by the Australian Medical Council until December 2013 and our first students arrived on 7 February 2008. We have recently moved into a purpose-built state of the art building on Deakin's Geelong Campus at Waurn Ponds. Students will be based at the Waurn Ponds Campus and clinical sites in the Geelong area for the first two years of the course. The last two years of the course will be completed in clinical schools attached to health services and general practices in Western Victoria and Melbourne. Information sessions (1.4 Mb pdf) for prospective students were recently held in Geelong, Melbourne and Ballarat. To view the presentation, click on the link above. |
