The prime role of HRSD is to support the achievement of Deakin's goals by ensuring that relevant and innovative people policies, practices and systems are in place so that Deakin can attract, retain and develop outstanding staff.

We seek to work in partnership with our clients to provide excellent and innovative services, and encourage a nurturing environment to enable Deakin staff to grow professionally.

We provide a wide range of services to managers and staff (and in some cases students) in areas such as recruitment, payroll, staff development, workplace relations, workforce planning, and occupational health and safety.

We strive to ensure that the service standards provided by HRSD staff are of the highest quality possible and that we are creative and innovative in terms of assisting our clients with solutions to people related issues.
