The Human Resources Services Division uses a Human Resources Management System
(HRMS) called Alesco from software vendor Talent2. This system has been implemented
at Deakin since January 1999. It is the central source of information on staff and interfaces with other corporate applications,
including UMS, the Library system, DeakinCard, and Oracle Financial's.
The HRMS performs a wide range of functions including the processing of employee payroll, leave calculations and bookings, personal information, qualifications information, recruitment management and management reporting.
The HR Information Systems Group are responsible for the support and maintenance of the HRMS.
The HRMS application will upgrade to a new version (Version 11) effective Monday 6 October 2008.
