External training
The training offered by Staff Development is only one avenue of training
available to staff members for their professional development. There are
a number of courses offered by providers external to the University, listed
below some alternatives.
Association for Tertiary Education Management (ATEM) Offers a range of training courses which are available to administrators and managers working in tertiary education.
Victorian Employers' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VECCI) The schedule of short courses incorporates more than 300 public programs annually as well as fully customised on-site training. Email training for Deakin University membership number.
Australian Institute of Management (AIM) Practical short courses in workplace skills, supervision and management.
