Career development (this site is currently under review)

A driving force in Deakin's success as an innovative and international university is the excellence of our staff. We value the importance of a partnership that enables staff to achieve their goals and the University to succeed into the future. The University's strategy to provide a supportive and inclusive working environment includes support for career development.

Professional development forms part of the performance management process, with planning and goals (short and long term) being discussed and documented by the staff member and manager as part of the Performance Planning and Review (PPR) process.

The following sets out examples of professional development planning by selecting from the program offerings available centrally at Deakin University.
