What is the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)?

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test is designed to assess the English language ability of international candidates. The test covers the four macro language skills - listening, reading, writing and speaking.

There are two IELTS Test Modules: the Academic Module and the General Training Module.

The IELTS Academic Module is recommended for candidates who need to meet the English language requirements for academic purposes.

The IELTS General Training Module is suitable for candidates who need the IELTS test for non-academic purposes.

Applicants can prepare for the IELTS test by taking the IELTS Preparation Program (minimum entry requirement: IELTS score of 5.5) to increase their chances of success.
