A variety of industry awards are open to staff at Deakin, including the following:

• Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE) awards
• National awards for Innovation in Learning from the Australian Institute of Training and Development (AITD)
• Oklahoma State University Distance Education Award for Excellence in Distance Education in the United States at the Learning and Training Conference and Expo, Washington, D.C.
• The ATOM awards' Educational / Vocational category Best Tertiary Educational Resource, Australian Teachers of Media
