STALGS

The Strategic Teaching and Learning Grant Scheme (STALGS) aims to proactively support academic staff in their pursuit of the University's teaching and learning goals through the provision of grants for projects of strategic importance to the University.

STALGS grants may be awarded for projects that will advance Deakin's teaching and learning goal and assist Deakin in fulfilling its mission and core commitments. This is an opportunity for staff to contribute to the development of teaching and learning at Deakin and at the same time to build their personal and group leadership in teaching and learning.

Successful completion of a funded project would constitute a strong contribution to teaching and learning in relation to a promotion application. Project proposals can be submitted by individuals or teams and may involve both faculties and other organisational units (e.g. Knowledge Media Division or Institute of Koorie Education). Cross faculty/organisation teams are strongly encouraged and project teams may include people external to the University.

Each STALGS project leader will be a Deakin Teaching Fellow.
