These libraries/institutions provide access to various free online databases and resources. At some locations, membership is required to obtain access to the online databases and other resources.
If you live in Victoria, then the State Library of Victoria, allows you to find and access selected databases from home. You need to register as a Library user first.

A selected number of databases are available for access from home for residents of New South Wales. To participate you must be a New South Wales resident and must also be registered as a State Library client.

The State Library subscribes to a number of online databases. Most are available from home if you are a member.

Many of the resources are freely available to anyone with internet access, but some are licensed resources which may only be used in the National Library of Australia.

The National Library also provides a Copies Direct service when for a small fee, they can provide you with copies of articles, chapters, whole books, even photographs, pictures, maps, manuscripts, music and sound recordings.
