Food industry award winnersFaculty of Health, Medicine, Nursing and Behavioural SciencesStudents Joanne Kennedy and Hayden Thatcher from the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences recently won the 2008 Australian Institute of Food Science and Technology (AIFST) Student Product Development Award. The award was for a product they developed in Product Development and Processing (HSN306) in 2007 and was presented at the AIFST Annual Convention held in Sydney. In addition to the Student Product Development Award, the students won three other awards: two food industry awards from SPS Ardmona and Sensory Solutions, and a ‘Best Poster Award’ for the nutrition category of the AIFST Annual Convention. The Faculty congratulates Joanne and Hayden on these achievements.
