How to submit a Network article

Network articles need to be submitted to publications@deakin.edu.au by the deadlines listed in the table below. The articles are edited by the Marketing Division and put on to the live website at www.deakin.edu.au/news/network/current/index.php on the Wednesday prior to the publication date for your viewing. Please check your article and inform the publications team of any required amendments prior to the publication date. * Please note, due to the University closing down over the Christmas and New Year period, there will be no January edition of Network.

Deadlines are strictly adhered to and late articles will not be accepted.

Tips on submitting articles

  • Ensure the article is relevant to University staff. Topics such as a Faculty's new initiative or an important announcement to staff make good Network articles.
  • Aim for approximately 200-250 words
  • Spell out all acronyms in full
  • Use people's full and correct titles (for example, Professor Joe Bloggs not Mr Joe Bloggs)
  • Include a contact detail or weblink at the bottom of your article for people who would like more information
  • Try to make your articles interesting and informative, yet concise and to the point
