Deakin University
Deakin University's Operational Plan includes target 1.2.8:
Conduct a survey of all students regarding the quality of student support services and ensure that processes are in place to address any deficiencies.
A report on the results of the survey developed and conducted to meet the requirements of this target has been produced by the Planning Unit and is available below (Deakin staff and students only).
Each section of the Student
Satisfaction Survey included a field in which students could provide additional
comments about the services covered in that section. These comments have
been made available in the Student
Satisfaction Survey Report Addendum which is also available below. In the
addendum, comments for each section
have been screened to ensure compliance with privacy requirements and
grouped by faculty and campus.

The Planning Unit, in conjunction with the First Year at Deakin advisory committee, has conducted a survey of first year students each year since 2002. The aim of this survey has been to obtain feedback on the enrolment, orientation and transition phases of their entry into tertiary education and to gain a better insight into the success of the academic aspects of the first six weeks of study.
The survey has been targeted at commencing on-campus undergraduate students who were identified as being new to higher education. In 2004, a second survey covering first year off-campus students was introduced. This off-campus survey is run concurrently with the main survey of on-campus students. Reports are available for download by Deakin staff and students.

Target 3.4 of Deakin University’s 2004 Operational Plan states:
Survey enrolled off-campus international students and develop a revised recruitment plan for international enrolments in off campus programs.
The Off Campus International Student Survey was conducted in November 2004 pursuant to this target. The report of the survey results is available below (Deakin staff and students only).

The Graduate Attributes Survey was developed in order to provide data for Target 6.2 of Deakin University’s 2004 Operational Plan:
Identify and address areas of deficiency identified from the results of a survey of a representative sample of employers of Deakin graduates to determine whether Deakin’s graduates are seen by employers to possess the skills expected by those employers and the graduate attributes identified by the University.
The survey was conducted in December 2004 and January 2005. A report on the results of this survey has been produced by the Planning Unit and is available below (Deakin staff and students only).

The Planning Unit collects feedback from its customers on a regular basis. In 2004 and 2005, the main avenue for this feedback has been an annual survey. The reports on the results from each customer feedback survey are available for download from this page (Deakin staff only).
