Applications must be complete and comply with all requirements. The Research Services Division staff can give advice on completing an application but are not able to provide a compliance check for applicants other than ECR's and first time applicants. Responsibility for compliance lies with the applicant.
The Research Services Division will only provide a reviewing service for applications where the first named Chief Investigator is an Early Career Researcher (see definition on page 3) or is applying for a CRG for the first time. A fully complete application (merged form and free text, electronic version only) must be submitted to the Research Services Division at the Geelong Campus by close of business on
7 July 2008. Once review comments are provided by the Research Services Division, applicants will have one week to submit their final application (which includes electronic version in Word and pdf format and hard copy).
For all other staff there is no central service available for reviewing or checking compliance of applications. Complete applications (which include electronic versions in both Word and pdf format and a hard copy) must be submitted to the Research Services Division at the Geelong Campus by close of business on 4 August 2008 irrespective of the home campus of the lead investigator. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
All electronic versions should be emailed to crgs-submissions@deakin.edu.au.
Please note: Before submission of your application, please contact your Associate Dean (Research) or Head of Institute to find out the Faculty process for approval of CRG submissions.
Non-compliant applications may be disqualified.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the 2009 CRGS round in October or November.
It should be noted that a separate source of funding - although much smaller than that for the CRGS - is available to provide support for the start up or continuation of industry linked projects. Applications - establishing a clear case for the requested support - should be submitted to the Director, Research Services Division. Applications can be made at any time.
All forms are correct for the 2009 round as of May 2008
