The following workshops are provided for the benefit of higher degree by research candidates. You are encouraged to attend any which are of interest. Places may be limited so it is advisable to register as soon as possible via the link provided. If you later find that you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration so that your place is made available to another student.
Description: The session will cover a range of topics of interest to new candidates, such as:
- managing your candidature
- establishing an effective relationship with your supervisor
- useful sources of information and advice
- skill development opportunities
- scholarship matters
- ethics in research

Description: This workshop is targeted at candidates who intend to submit by 20 December 2009.
Please note that there is no cost for the retreat but attendees are to organise their own accommodation.
Please let me know whether you would be interested in student residence accommodation at $50 per night ie $200 for the week.
