Research in the School of Engineering and Information Technology
serves three main purposes. These are: generation of new fundamental
knowledge, education of graduate students, and assisting industry to
advance their technologies to maintain a competitive edge nationally
and internationally.
Members of the School have a strong commitment to both pure and
applied research of practical importance. Strong industry-based
research collaboration has resulted in many successful partnerships,
where companies and the University haave adopted a win-win approach. In
addition to several hundred peer reviewed publications, we have
attracted support from many companies and external funding agencies.
