In 2007, the Human Resources Services Division undertook an Operational Plan target project to review the performance planning and review (PPR) process at Deakin.
The review resulted in the identification of a number of recommendations for enhancements to the PPR process which were endorsed by the Vice-Chancellor in late 2007. These will be progressively implemented throughout the University over the next two years.
PPR documentation is currently being redesigned to reflect various recommendations from the review project, including the integration of Probation and PPR documentation within the one form and (at a later stage) inclusion of standard academic performance objectives. It is intended to use the amended documentation in selected areas as a pilot during the 2008 review period. The documentation has begun being circulated to these areas.
The new documentation will be available for use across the University from the start of the 2009 PPR cycle.
All staff should continue to use existing documentation for the 2008 PPR cycle unless otherwise advised. PPR documentation is available at: http://www.deakin.edu.au/hr/sd/ppr.php
